• Keep proper ventilation in both the attic and the crawl space areas. This will not only help prevent pest but will also help use less energy heating and cooling the structure.
• Keep all bushes adjacent to the home cut back so no limbs are touching the foundation or roof.
• Keep all leaves and trash debris picked up around the exterior of the structure.
• Keep gutters clear of all debris and flowing without obstructions.
• Replace all rotted wood around the interior and exterior of the structure.
• Repair all leaky facets.
• Keep exterior lights off during the evening, as these will attract pests.
• Do not keep any food (including pet food) sitting out overnight.
